Pam Moxley is a self-taught artist who creates photo-based mixed media works.  She spends much of her time chronicling the lives of her children and her surroundings, creating works that emote childhood memories for the viewer.

Once she is finished with the photographic component, Pam continues to create through several other mediums. Her mixed media works are individually created with multiple layers.  She starts by painting a dimensional board with several layers and textures of paint.  She then uses an image transfer process that she has developed to add the photograph to the board.  Pam finishes each of the works with a poured layer of high gloss resin or wax.  The combination of these techniques brings each of these individual works of art to life.  Mixing the distress of the transfers with the brilliance of the resin creates a beautiful mix of nostalgia and high concept polish.

Pam has been exhibiting her work throughout the United States for the last several years and has had many solo exhibits including the shows at the Hudgens Art Center, The Bank of America Building and The Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Museum exhibitions include MOCA GA, Southeast Museum of Photography, Mobile Museum of Art, and The Grand Rapids Art Museum.

Pam’s work is held in many private and public collections throughout the United States including the MOCA GA collection, the Pinnacle Bank Collection, City of Atlanta collection, the APG collector’s portfolio, Blackbird Technologies, the Southeast Museum of Photography and The Hudgens Art Center. Pam’s work has also been featured in films and national magazines such as Traditional Home, Décor and Harper’s Magazine.
